It has been quite some time since my last update. =P

I’ve been recalled for reservist for 2 weeks, so that’s why I am missing.

I am telling you , my reservist is more than tiring, not only I have to cover an urban ops doing security sweeps. I need to go through a series of combat fitness test during my reservist.

4km route march in mop4 (chemicial suit), and something like soc but in bomb suit, and not to forget the usual ippt(fitness) test.
It’s like I have just came back from a 2 weeks slimming program. =P
I miss waking up late and I miss working in front of the computer all day!

I am back. time to start work!

Been working in this company for more than 1/2 a year and I must say that things are going pretty well.

So much exposure to creative thinking and concept development which is what I am expecting, but I do really need professional guidance.

Really like what I am doing but I would want to be a graphic designer for my whole life,I am simply not good enough.

Think I should find another job that I need to be under some Creative director or some senior  designer.

Finally Install Photoshop CS 3 in my PC at home. Was procrastinating all these while because there’s some problem with my hard disk and I haven’t find the time to send it for repair. Wouldn’t want to install all the programs in and have to do the installing again.

Now that I got it in working condition again, PLUS, I’ve tidied up my room, it’s time to get started and should be able to come out with something soon.

I am recently caught in this situation where there’s a lot of decisions to make, plan.

Buried under work everyday, I find working more like a routine. It’s time I took a step back and look at the whole situation as a whole, set new directions and goals.

I was on the bus with dearie when she notice 2 BCG scar on my arm.

Apparently, she has only 1 on the arm because her first jab was taken in a private clinic and it was on her butt. Government clinic will be on the arm instead)

Dearie: “Eh, how come you have 2 on your arm?”
Me: “Your first one on your butt I suppose”
Dearie: “Yah, how come not on arm leh?
Me: “Maybe at that time your arm haven’t grow out yet ma…”

hahahaha…..

the 5 seconds laugh cost me 30mins of pain.

I was working on a logo today and was quite pleased that the client actually loves it!

There was much research and rationale done to come out with it and the client was very pleased. Just when I got the cue that the logo is finalised and to start working on the design of other printed materials…

the client called me and told me that her superior prefer something simple and choose 1 from the design from my initial visuals and ask me to work on that…

Speechless…

I mean, true… this is done by me. One of the intial logos I’ve done for the client but I didn’t expect them to choose this when there’s are a few better choice.

She’s feels sad when her boss had eyed on this logo because she liked the previous logo very much.

I guess some clients do have their own unique taste or direction, I do respect that. I guess I’ll have to accept it.

HK went missing after lunch today. If my memory still serves, his last words were, “I be meeting Henry in the afternoon.”

Henry runs a diving shop in Malaysia and he’s a mentor and a client. I guess HK won’t be back in office till tomorrow morning.

Hope they’re not captured by some escaped terrorist or something…

I was trying to get dressed and ready for work this morning

I clumsily picked up my watch but I lost grip so it dropped! Apparently the watch’s face hit the ground first *ouch*
(it would hurt if it was mine. I mean the watch is mine, but my face would hurt. Well, you get the point)

I picked it up immediately and I saw this huuugggggeeee crack on the glass. =(

It was my birthday gift few years back. I guess I’ll have it repaired.. it is still running though, can’t bear to throw it away.

*sigh* I could almost hear my wallet scream whenever I pull out a note.
